Light in it of itself is just photons

"Just photons".... right.
Imagine someone saying light is "just photons", as if there were no mystery or complexity in and of that statement itself.

Knowing what light is in all its fullness would be enough of a superpower for me.

To understand the creation of matter and antimatter through photon collision.
To understand how photons act as the exchange particle for electromagnetic forces.
To truly see what the E.M. spectrum is in all its glory.

To understand wave-particle duality, polarisation, diffraction...

At weakest, the power to emit light would be enough to illuminate the darkest room.
At its most powerful, I dare not to pretend to know...
