My preferred letter is [echoing laughter mixed with the sound of an entire marching band trying to play the score of Chariots of Fire put into a cement mixer truck and cranked up to frappé]

J is nice too.

Is there a letter that you are biased towards when naming characters? I find myself biased towards the letter E. What I mean is that most of my protagonists will have a name that starts with E. Does letter bias plague your names?
I mean, that make sense for you. Just remove the last couple of letters and, Hello, RepresentingE.

But for me.... hmmm. Not sure, I've done a few short stories and longer concepts, and they usually all have very different names.

Twice I purposely done similar names, I used ell for a few characters. And I've used Ern a few times to end some names, mostly because the first success prototype I wrote had the main character's name end with it, so I like to reference it.

RepresentingE is my rap name. How did you find that out?

:blobtaco:Just don't do anything I wouldn't do! Actually there are probably things on that list you also shouldn't do!

My bias is anything but normal everyday names. You'll never see a "Kevin" or "Samantha" as a main character in my novels.

On the other hand I also created someone with the name Jacob Arseman....

I have this issue where I roll my face on the keyboard and whatever pops up, I try to pronounce as a name. Even when it's gibberish.

That's my toxic naming trait.

Nah I do that too, I just smash my keyboard for a minute and try to find a name. It isn't uncommon.

Like this:
Gsisksvsyqoacidkfvdyaisvwoebeskosvwywoscrosoevamsifofvegaisosvsusosbsgsoabqjakspdbdnsosysvsoshqhsosdhfsajpfawiustkrdvednlpaleeh

I got Qoacid, Woebesk, Woscro, Vamsif, Vegais, Jak, Vsosh, Wiust.

With some polishing, they can be names for characters.

Sure, buddy. Explain how you're going to make Jak into a name that doesn't sound like incoherent garbage.
