Oh yeah, and also somehow learns that one of her incidental descisions saves a bunch of orphans or something and she starts to see the beauty in life. And some other filler.

Heheh, I will do after I finish fracture c:~Write it, and I'll read it![]()
That would make someone jump quicker, wouldn't it?Tsundere + Stockholm + Suicidal Depression + comedy + NTR + Scheme + "potential torture" = . . . . . .
Are you trying to heal depression or make the person suffer more than she should have died? Comedy hardly seem funny when she is trying so hard to kill herself.
1 word of encouragement = 1 word of discouragement = immediate dive to suicidal mode
I fail to see any relation in this story to Tragedy. Instead of only a Tsundere personality, maybe you can give him a ruthless schemer persona. But that might make him a control freak. He can do behind shadow to protect her from everything except him. He need to speak less or be less harsh 180 degree turn shock. That would make someone jump quicker, wouldn't it?![]()
Luckily, the Stockholm Syndrome and NTR aren't on the table.Everything else though... Uh, I think she will still want to jump out too!
Joking aside, I wasn't trying to do comedy, but it seems it can lend itself to dark humor. Even in my first story that is pretty dark, people somehow still find funny bits in it. It is like the light moments of a dark story.
This story is more about how one person can change someone's outlook on life. Even when it is at its grimmest of moments. Of course, there will be funny scenes as that is just what it lends to. Like the tsundere demon king learning how to be nice. That won't happen in one go. As well as the girl's perspectives will change with time.
She won't always try to kill herself, but in those moments, maybe something good comes out of her failure. Ex. She tries to create a poison but instead creates an all-magical elixir. And that ends up saving millions. And maybe at that moment, she realizes that maybe her life isn't without meaning.Stuff like that, which can lend itself to comedy.
Or as the fellow said, she accidentally saves orphans by using a thing that she thought would end her and it ended up giving a boon to the land. Thus they never starved.Still a lot to work out on this one. But I get where you are coming from.
The main genres are Romance, Tragedy, Fantasy imo. Comedy would be a sub-one at best, like it is for my other stories.*I did not even know they were funny to start with.*

I don't think someone saying you saved X amound of lives means anything. You'd have to actually see the effects of your actions to fully comprehend them. So maybe after she creates said poison and ends up helping people, have her strapped to a pole and paraded around as people shower her with thanks. She won't always try to kill herself, but in those moments, maybe something good comes out of her failure. Oh dear lord, I just pictured that, and it made me laugh.I don't think someone saying you saved X amound of lives means anything. Or something like that.
You seem to have this decently planned out. Another example I could offer is placing her under extreme stress. A stern but kind-hearted chef takes her for a day in his kitchen, and a chef's kitchen is pretty much a warzone. People don't tend to think about killing themselves when they don't have the time to think. And seeing others enjoying your food is rewarding in itself.Oh dear lord, I just pictured that, and it made me laugh.Gosh, you guys are amazing for thinking funny stuff. Or maybe it is just me, who finds it funny.
"What is the meaning of this?!?" MC asked the demon lord, who strapped her to a pole.
"I am going to show you, that your actions have consequences." He answers, walking outside with her.
*MC was paraded by the hoards of demons until dawn. They showered her with affection and gratitude. At the time she created that 'poison', she did not know, she had blessed the entire kingdom with a powerful elixir.*
But you are right, she has to see the effects. Being told is the same as seeing the news. Might they affect you? Yes, but will they actually stick to you? Nope. You forget about the last person who was murdered within hours.
It is more effective to witness something. That sticks to you like wildfire to a forest. So you are right, she will have to witness stuff. It was what I was going to aim for, too.![]()
Especially the chef yelling at everyone *Gordon Ramsey style*. While he is a sweet heart outside of the kitchen! Oh, lord, that is also funny. Blob, you are a genius! You seem to have this decently planned out. Another example I could offer is placing her under extreme stress. Comedy in morbid stories is often best ridiculous. You can do almost anything you want.
Finding the beauty and humor in your darkest moments is an important survival trait, and one that our putative Heroine A is seriously lacking. This should be a point of growth in the story. For us, her audience, humor is an important way for us to talk about horrible, awful things in a meaningful manner. Yes, humor can be used cruelly, but it is also one of our brain's most important defense and coping mechanisms. Are you trying to heal depression or make the person suffer more than she should have died? Comedy hardly seem funny when she is trying so hard to kill herself.
Usually when you include the tag "Tragedy" the readers will assume that one of the main characters will die and break their heart.hm, the whole start of the story is a tragedy. And the entire premise of suicide is a tragic one. Anything that has to do with human suffering is a tragedy. Thus, have to label it a tragedy. *People tend to mistake this by associating it with death. But sadly, there are worse tragic things in life than death alone.* Even if it doesn't end in a sad ending, anything that causes a character's suffering and pain is a tragic turn.
In this case, it is the mental suffering of the MC who did indeed end up dying in one world. While the other world also has tragic elements to it. Such as war. Anything that involves war is a tragedy too.![]()
That is true but also not the whole meaning of tragedy. In this case, though, the MC died technically? She can never return to her world.Usually when you include the tag "Tragedy" the readers will assume that one of the main characters will die and break their heart.
Hm... I am laughing at it? I don't see how I am. I was enjoying what other people said, but as I said in one of my posts, my stories are serious in nature. My first book is about a girl who lost it all. She wishes nothing more but to die, but because of external reasons, she can't. Eventually, her situation turns into a better one. For me, comedy isn't the focus, but the topic itself. If something turns a bit comedic is because the characters interact that way. *It was never meant to be a comedy moment, but people find it so.*I feel like this is bad timing on a book idea like this, the suicide rate globally is getting alarming and I could see "big brother" stepping in soon and doing something. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years suicide is treated like child porn or racism in books and is a banned topic. I just worry the premise isn't going to age well if this isn't respected and you just laugh at it. Japan is already starting to do studies trying to link isekai with suicide in Japan, and America is starting to move this topic into our own politics. If I were going to do it, then I would take it more seriously with how you approach this. I write about mental illness in my own books, but I try to treat the topic seriously because I also worry about this.
Edit: An Archdemon's Dilemma sounds close to what you are writing, I think that might be a better direction than this to be honest.
The answer is always no. Even in this story, she doesn't end up in a nirvana-like most isekas are. *Some differ and I love those.* Unlike the real world, though, here there are some people who actually care. Maybe if she went on longer in the other world, she would have found someone like them. And that will be a regret that will always stick with her. Even when our shitty world is crap, there are beauties in it.As the meme goes, suicide is not the answer, it is the question.
And the answer is...no, most of the time.
It would be nicer to write about a girl who lost all hope in humanity, being dunked on upon everyone. She overworks herself to death in a black company. End up in a new world, try to find hope and still get used by people (in a smutty way or not), and ends up finding out the only person she can trust is an animal which happened to be a beastman prince who was opposing whichever said country she was in and was injured whom she treated. And thus she could only like kemonomimis cause humans are overrated trash with bigotry 95% of the time. Of course, there are a few nice people who end up as fodder to anger the readers as they get squashed upon escape.
Well if you want to write suicide go ahead, just remember it is the question and the answer isyesno.
Oh my!I guess my only other question is, does anyone else besides Demon Lord try to get down Heroine A's pants? Do they succeed? Is it rape, date rape, or otherwise nc? Is it by Hero Mark IV? If yes to enough of the above, does she get prego? Are we going to have the back-alley, coat-hanger, isekai edition abortion? Will that only be for the patreons who contribute above a certain threshold? If she brings the kid to term, does she keep it? Or does she abandon it to an orphanage? Is that how she "saves" the orphanage? The orphanage donates surplus kids to feed the poor, starving demons and then Demon King recognizes Heroine's child because fantasy lineage bs, and so confiscates the whole batch from the demon soup kitchen (where Demon King volunteers twice a week)? Does the child saving happen before or after Demon King recovers Heroine from the FOG?
(Somebody else is going to have to name names, I'm terrible at it.)
I am glad you spoke! I love your process of thought! I could actually incorporate some of these into my story too!The people before me had so many great idea and I might be shouting into the void but I still wanna say something, the following words? I have to say may contradict with your initial story if so maybe take parts of it with you or make a what if chapter set if you want.
Route 1 the lying demon princess:
After getting summoned to the demon kingdom and is told of her fate the priestess tries to off herself on multiple occasions each time stopped, no amount of helping demon citizens or good deeds or worship could sway her suicidal thoughts cause all that feels like nothing to her she feels used more than loved like an idol, a tool more than actual person and her hatred for the demon king runs deep while her dismisses and retaliations on the demon king may have swayed his heart to fall in love with her she still is unmoved by his seemingly sudden change of character while all that's going on she develops a close bond with her servants and demon of the kings court one forged in battle against they recognize each other's strength and respect each other giving her a reason to live outside of helping a bunch of rando's instead she finds use for her talents in helping the people that actually matter to her.
Then the heroes come into the demon kingdom trying to commit genocide and the priestess is having none of that, no one is going to destroy the only place she calls home, so she confronts the generals of the demon kingdom who first decline her but are immediately taken out by her and asks the king directly before letting go out on the battle field the priestess faces off against the hero until she kills the heroes that were summoned along with her to save the world (if you'll accept some class system among heroes like warrior hero, mage hero and the such) after which she'll try to commit genocide on the humans which her friends will object to cause it's immoral to just go and commit a crime of that scale after their disagreement she'll return torn apart from doing the right thing and saving her friends and her home after spending time with them and the king she learns that you can't just go extreme to so she begins to heal a bit after spending some time with the people she loves and the king.
After a few weeks the king proposes to her thinking that he's won her over but at the ceremony when it's revealed that he didn't get the magic buffs the priestess reveals that she hasn't fallen in love with him yet that they still need to work on their relationship the story can go on with her slowly liking the king until she finally falls in love with him but at that time the magic buffs are useless to him cause the greatest goal he had was his wife and all their friends that love each other.
(Za warudo!) Alternative ending Rewind to the wedding the mc will kill the current demon king making herself the new demon king not out of spite or because she now wants to rule it's more of now seeing what the war is doing to the kingdom and wanting to stop it for the sake of her friends all that shounen jazz so now she rules a d tries to work with the filthy humans to stop unnecessary wars on both fronts.
(Za warudo!) Rewind to before she killed the horses thanks to her rash actions the heroes manage to slip past the demon kingdoms defenses and kill the demon king. In her fit of confused rage she storms the heroes capital city and wipes it off the face of the earth the heroes being in the demon capital ate captured and experimented on till death while the remaining humans are treaded like sub races for the hundred thousands of years of attacks on the demons some are rebelling but it's a dying cause.
