You caught my point! Upon reading something like the above mentioned scene ( aka child rape), what cross the mind first is: the person who wrote this may support child rape? Even though I know it may not be the case.
I dunno man. How young we talking about? Some girls these days be 14 looking like they short 20 year olds. I mean i wouldnt rape a kid, but i'd be lying if i said i haven't seen sexy, slutty looking 14 year olds on Tiktok that made me think, "i'd blow her back out"
That aside, smut and harems go hand in hand for me. I cant write a harem and NOT include sex scenes. Like what kinda nonsense is that? I aint gonna blue ball my readers. I mean, real life harems kinda suck unless you're from a country where women know their damn place....either in the kitchen or under my dick, specifically....but other than that most harems in real life lack a lot of appeal. But fictional harems can be fun to read or watch. I like drama too, so any infighting between heroines is also pretty entertaining.

I know this isn’t really what this is being asked, but felt like giving some insight into why we’ve been led to believe polygamy is morally unacceptable.
If we’re being honest here, the real root reason polygamy isn’t accepted isn’t particularly about morals or stuff like inheritance issues like we’re led to believe. In nature polygyny is actually much more common than monogamous relationships and there are pretty good reasons for that.
When you get stuff like polygamy happening, you see an accumulation of power under certain groups of people. It’s effectively what gives rise to the birth of kings and queens. Polygamy can lead to the accumulation of vast fortunes in a short amount of time. Effectively hoarding wealth within these large households that form can lead to an unhealthy dysfunctional economy over time and major disparity between people not in their circle.
In reality, the government just doesn’t want such large households forming because they can become a huge threat to their authority, stability, and ability to govern. King-like figures existing under a democracy, the government wouldn’t be able to control these large households very easily or interfere with what they’re doing if they allowed for polygamy.
A man with let’s say two hundred wives could raise a loyal army out of thousands of child soldiers in a pretty short period of time. Half the wives could be pumping out kids while the other half takes care of them/educates them while they also work to accumulate money. If the household becomes too large and gains too much power, the government may reach the point where they cannot touch those households without paying a heavy price.
This is why the government would nip the problem in the bud before it’s allowed to gain a footing. In history, extreme examples have been made of such people. Such as outright publicly killing the man in broad daylight and leaving the women and children without any means to fend for themselves. Why go so far? To set an example. This is wrong. Do not become like them. It’s to implant the fear of it happening to others. That would be the true origin of what we view as monogamy being morally correct.
You also see genetically superior males taking up the female population leading to other males unable to find a partner. It sounds unfair, but it’s just nature at play. Humans are essentially salty and can’t accept that they’re inferior to someone else and that they’ll be left out.
These are some of the conclusions I came to when actually writing polygamy and crunching some actual numbers in excel for household incomes just for some minimum wage stuff. The tax system for a monogamous society just would not work for a polygamous one.
meh thats all not the reason. I mean, it is the reason but the money isnt the issue. The goverments in today's society dont give a fuck if you use this to hoard wealth. Most money is digital, only a fraction of the worlds wealth is in physical cash--not counting things like gold or other valuables. The goverments can literally create money from thin air. They do that all the time.
The real problem with polygamy isnt that goverments are scared you're gonna hoard wealth. They are worried about the effects of too many people becoming wealthy. The entire monetary system is specifically designed to force you into labor. You want food, water, shelter? The very BASIC needs for life? You need money to buy them. And if you want more than just these three basic needs, like a new game or a fancy watch? You also need money to buy them,
Our entire lives revolve around a constant need for cash and the only way to get that is to work. And who do you work for? For whose sake are you laboring? The very top 1 % of people who control the world and have amassed great wealth. They need you to continue working for them, so they made it impossible to live without money.
Money that they provide for you in exchange for your labor.
What does this have to do with polygamy? Well if too many people start amassing great wealth, people will stop working. If enough people stop working, well the world is fucked cuz who wants to pick up trash when they are rich? You give everyone in the world 10million dollars, everyone quits their jobs and no one is controlling and maintaining our power supply.
And also now those top percenters have no one willing to serve them, either. So you are right it would hurt the authority of those in charge, but only because it means they cant use money to control people anymore. TAnd of course cuz our infrastructure as a society would be in danger.
There really wouldnt be a reason to even have a monetary system in place at that point, so the top percenters would just become regular Joes. They dont like that idea, obviously.
Truth is the monetary system is just a more sophisticated form of slavery and its only kept around to keep those in the highest echelons of society in power. We dont even require a monetary system with our current level of technology. We have the resources to just, like, GIVE people the things they want.
