try working on two stories at the same time: one you just write and publish chapter per chapter so u can get your 'carrots'
And in the meantime you'll also work on that story you want to write, where you'll be planning and plotting a lot more, build up a backlog and post it when you're ready :p

3:41 p.m. :

Finished 3 chapters! Well, one of them was already halfway done, but I am still happy I got it done. Now I feel so awake!

I had a whole chapter, where I got no more than 5 mistakes per page! I have never had so few before!

The chapters after that one are normal, though.

Edited all the chapters! Also, I was writing kiss with umlaut the whole time.

It is not written with an umlaut.

2:03 p.m. :

Finished a chapter, it is 3k words long, and it is still 2 p.m. But there is a problem:

The multiplayer in 4thewords is rumored to be buggy today, so I can't write with my friends. I have grown too dependent on it, I know, but I miss it.

I think I will take a small break. 3k in a day is nothing to scoff at. Took me 2 hours, breaks included. I feel like one of them Isekai MCs who got sent to medieval Mcfantasy land from a modern era.

Co-op, I miss you!

4:01 p.m.:

Finished another chapter, and started the third for the day, but it wasn't flowing, so I figured I could take a break. And, even if I just edit for the rest of the day, 5k words are nothing to snort at. I am still progressing, that is the important thing!

6:55 p.m.

Finished the first arc! I am at chapter 8 now, today I wrote just a little over 7k words!

I am going to try it. A 10k day.



Finished three chapters, 5,884 words in total. But they were so packed with feels, that I need a break now. I mean, I needed these chapters as foreshadowing (my boys are not going to have a good time. The Goblins are coming!), and now I need to ease them back into their easy teasing, but without letting off the edge of all the horse dung that happened.

Just 4k words more. I can do it!



I couldn't do it. But it was for a good cause, I swear! My male cat, which has been missing for a year, came back! Now all I want to do is cuddle up with him and speak to him in baby tongue XD.

I don't know where he was, but now he is huge. Also, doesn't let me pet him for too long.

But he is back!

Thanks to a challenge I put myself through, I wrote 8k words today in 4 chapters! But the challenge is still going, so tomorrow I will really need to write those last 2 chapters. (At this point, the outline is no longer valid. But, darn, I love where the story is going!)

Well, 40k, or so I have heard. Nano assumes 50k. But these days I am just happy to reach 40k.

I mean, a novella is up to 40k, so everything over it, even if it is just 100 words more, means book length, right? Did you split your book in volumes?

No, I just kept writing. If I HAD to cut it up, I could probably make an ending of a volume around the 80k mark. Since I initially only wrote this for my own eyes I saw no reason to actually think about stuff like that
