In my published work, I actually wouldn't say my main character is my favorite character. I love her, she's great and important to the story, but some of my other characters I enjoy more because of their personalities and their dynamics they have in the story.
Same honestly.

I love her role in the story. Maybe she was my favoriate when I was started writing and was closer to her age, Now days it's the character who's more the mentor to the MC. (My current Avatar pic Sophie XD)

I love my characters, they're all my favourites. And my novel doesn't have a MC so...
Guess you got me there!

Glad it's working out!

Actually, in my current work I have a main character even though it's an ensemble primarily with POV chapters who I like for their forthright qualities and their vulnerability and their activity because when I write a main character they tend to gravitate towards being a blank slate. It was just a character who happened to be on a trip to another universe and a lots of stuff happens to them and they have to deal with the overall events. They were more like a spouse to the main character and the main character turned out to be kind of an antihero but they weren't the main character in the work. Previous to that, there were a variety of main characters and one of them was a little more feisty and even the one that I settled on was rather feisty but one in particular was more quiet and passive. I need to fix my problems with having rather passive blank main characters. Previous to that I had the same problem again. It worked out a little bit better before that because I had swapped things and made what would've been the passive main character into the supportive spouse. Previous to that… It's a series of stories… But the character before that had a good balance mainly because I based a lot of their quirks on real people that I know but still the non-main character seems like the more interesting one

Not MC . The character I liked is often drawn by me, but MC has never been drawn, that's how low his actual positions is. Decided to draw MC once cause I felt pity for him, later decided 'No. This guy already has so much dedicated to him' usually I am jealous of the MC.

I haven't posted the story here yet (it's a bit difficult to translate into English added to my mediocre level of writing in my own first language) but, yes. DEFINITELY my protagonist is my favorite. I have 3 reasons for this.

1: SHE'S TOTALLY CHAOTIC, it's a lot of fun to write her whether it's in a comedic, serious, or emotional situation.

2: She's my kind of female character that I tend to like in a narrative, emotional attachment and waifu sense.

3: The relationship between the world, cast and protagonist elevates the main character a lot. If I get some audience I really doubt that she would be out of someone's top 5 (lie, it's quite possible because she's too questionable, if you fool around you have chances to break the rules of the site-)
