Take a large corporation. In the 10k employee range. Ignore the external connections. Ignore the company interactions with others. Forget the products, forget employee salaries.

Look at ONLY the internal economy.

How is any large corporation organized, INTERNALLY? What capitalism takes place?
What economic model does it resemble most?
I'll give you a hint. It's the same stage communism can never seem to advance past.

Look at a family, especially a large extended one. Ignore outside interactions and look at just the internal transactions.

Socialism.

It works in that case, because it's under the Dunbar empathy limit. Most small businesses are socialism, internally, bur they work because they are under the Dunbar empathy limit.

The further you exceed the limit, the more you need to find something else than loyalty to your fellow man to maintain group cohesion. That is groups turn to ideology.

Once you get to an ideology stage, dehumanization sets in. Once we stop seeing us ALL as human, then it becomes so easy to commit evil.

There is also the matter of dopamine addiction causes corruption of those in power, but the psychology of leadership corruption is another discussion.
