*sigh* Novels nowadays are all basically copies of each other. Don't modern authors have any pride?

Reading this thread I had to laugh constantly because my story fits most stereotypes mentioned here. I and many other people enjoy this kind of story though. Why don't you like it? Anyway I guess at least my MC is not OP and won't be for a long time.

I would recommend my own fanfic as well as I started writing it because I was fed up with purely wish fulfillment stories, with stupid mcs that only get things done because of their boons, as well. But I'm not posting so regularly, and I have to admit that I fulfilled one or two wishes as well. But the other stories I posted have a unique quality to them, and I would count them towards the 5% of fanfics on this site worth reading.
