Does the system only track logged in users and not guest? Bcz when I go read a fairly popular novel that used to have 50k views during its beginning now only have 10 views after a day or 2, makes me think this

A novel's viewership will plateau after a while sometimes. New novels will receive a spike in viewership from being on the front page, but if the author isn't consistent it can drop off. It has always been the case that earlier chapters receive more viewership than later chapters.
