is it worth reviving an old story?

it does to me. finishing a story is fun, but having people engage with it is much more fun :blob_salute:
If that's the case, I think it depends on if or not you are currently working on something else.

If the previous story already has developed a base of followers/readers, it may be easier to receive engagements compared to you starting something new. I say that guessing that there are more readers following that story of yours rather than you yourself the author.

If you want to continue the story continue it. As far as whether it will help or harm the story for having been away for a while from personal experience not necessarily. Sure it might not be as popular as it was when you were actively updating, but you'll probably still have a leg up over starting entirely new unless your story had basically no readers previously.

If you already had a decent amount of successful chapters it might actually end up with you shooting to the trending due to a sudden influx of views with new people reading all the way through the chapter backlog and some of your previous readers re-reading it to get familiar with it again.

If you're not going to continue it, then send me your luck, fame and reading audience :p

Some of us are freaking starving for 50 likes on our first ever chapters. You got way more hype in 14 chapters then I currently do at an ongoing 69 chapters. It's... most fortunate for you.

But yea, I'd say start it up again. You have the audience, lucky brat :blob_catflip: :blob_teehee:

So when you say it, people understand. But when I say it, I get questioned x)

If you don't, it will force you to reread it again and again, until you write it its ending. Because the Muse loves her creations more than your piece of mind.

I frequently write on and off a lot. I'll jump between projects (mainly due to ADHD), but there's nothing ever wrong picking back up a project you've worked on in the past. Work at your own pace and when you feel like it :)
