Telling people they can ignore a paragraph or 2 and spoiling future plot are two completely different things.

Heh, I don't think I have evert written a juicy scene that was only a paragraph or two.

Generally, I want those sorts of scenes to add just as much to the plot as any other action, adventure, exploration, or social chapter. I don't tend to add them as 'fanservice rewards' (although I do not begrudge authors that do, like true haremlit guys) so sometimes I need to include an alternate synopsis to cover the plot points that might be uncovered while the heroes are doing... other things.
