Hey there! I just joined Scribble hub yesterday and I'm seeing that my views are relatively low ever after uploading 15 chapters.
Don't worry I didn't copy paste anything, lol.
I have been writing for a month on this one story which I'm now on the 35th chapter. So, I wanted to upload few first.
I did and seeing the low views and comparing that to Webnovel--There is a STAGGERING difference!
So, tell me y'all how does views work in here?

My friend, web novel views are the most biased among fiction platforms. Try refreshing your novel synopsis page, the views will increase quickly.

For comparison, SH has 3 types of views: (1) all views including chapter views and synopsis views - this is what is shown in the novel statistics; (2) chapter views - every time you click on a chapter it is recorded as 1 chapter view; (3) effective views - you need to stay still for at least 30 seconds in a chapter to be recorded as 1 effective view, this statistic can only be seen in the novel analytics graph.

So is mine. It's common for stories with less than 50 chapters and 100k words. Give it time. Post your chapters regularly. Of course, also Improve your writing and cover when you can.

You posted 15 chapters at once. That's your first problem. You should have posted them one by one, at least every day or two days.

For now, try your best to post at least one chapter in a week. And be patient. It's a long-term game ;)

I swear we need a macro for new authours asking why they are not getting traction on their writing at this point.

1 - More chapters

You have 15 chapters you dropped all at once... many people won't even look at something with less than 20 chapters. Chapters 20/50/100 are generally the points you will see more readers pay attention to your work.

Keep the chapters to about 2k words apiece.

2 - Time

You just started. Keep writing, keep posting, and eventually you should be getting some feedback.

Honestly, most of SH are fairly silent readers, most of the time giving you a heart at the bottom of the chapter at most. If you have someone engaging in the comments, you should respond. Appreciate your readers and they will appreciate you... hopefully.

3 - Nice cover/Good Synopsis

No idea what you are writing, so I cannot comment on what you have, but it is critical to have SOMETHING that catches the eye, then a good summary of what your work is about.

Good Luck!
