I take it you are unfamiliar with the apocrypha, then? In one of the books the Nicene Convention rejected out of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it clarified the "love thy neighbor as you love thyself" line to mean "in all ways, and regardless of their gender, as does our Messiah"
