MC is way too straight laced to end up friends with the son of a coked up rock star, a girl who was kicked out of med school for drug dealing, or a crazy party girl if they aren’t all kidnapped together and forced to work on a pirate ship. He might have hit it off with the highly religious gym bro because they are both very into physical fitness, and he’d be far more likely to pursue a relationship with the peppy farm girl if she’s not 3 feet tall.

The elitist rich girl would run in the same circles but they’d never end up getting close without him saving her life. Especially since one of the biggest things that led to making her anything other than an entitled rich bitch (being born overtly marked by the powers of hell, making her a second class citizen in the evil empire she’s from) has no direct allegory in modern America. Being… idk, the dark skinned black daughter of a rich white couple would be the closest comparison but that would have its own set of baggage that would shoot the character off in a totally different direction.

• MC would still be a nurse, likely moving up to a NUM position, or potentially the hospital CEO (mirroring their position as a head-healer).
• The wolf-eared Demi-Human triplets (Cer, Ber and Res), would probably be VTubers or the receptionists of where the MC works.
• The founder of time-manipulation technology would be the MC's partnered nurse, both married.
• The red-haired shape shiftier would study hard as the adopted daughter of the MC and the time-lady, eventually joining them/becoming an educator.
• The sapient machine would become the secretary of the MC/Head of coordination for whatever hospital/etc they're at.
• The lady born in 1835 with the thesis on the functions of light would be a revered physicist. She'd further probe the mystery of light.
• A certain Magician would run all of Las Vagas' casinos. Would fund the projects of other characters.
• The big cuddly spider would be a photographer.
• A certain anguished Angel would spend time as a good single mother for her daughter.
• A director of fate would create hit piece plays.
• A child born as an emanation of light would be a normal child adopted by the MC.
• The brother of the triplets Cer, Ber and Res would finally love them.
• Etc.

I’ve done that! I wrote an AU version of my fantasy book, but my theatrical self refused to make them normal in the real world. Oops.
