I don't dream very often, but when I do, they are usually super weird, which prompted me to ask last time whether dreams had any inherent meaning. Today, I had another dream that I'd like to share with y'all. The best interpretation will win 5 cookies. It goes something like this:

In this one, I experienced Deadpool's backstory. My face became horribly disfigured, and I started walking around with masks to cover it. Then, suddenly, I found myself in a vague recreation of my old house, and we were all watching a show, movie, or YouTube video(I can't remember). I instinctively sensed that they were about to ask about my mask, so I took my laptop and paused what we were watching. I told them that we'd continue watching at another time, causing my baby cousin to suddenly flip out. There was one weird bit about me looking in the mirror. When I smiled, my face would return to how it used to look, but if I adopted any other expression, I'd go back to looking like a monster.

Then, for some reason, my mask disappeared, and I was frantically searching for it. I wore a hoodie, so they couldn't see me, but a childhood friend of mine was determined to see how I looked and started chasing me around the house. Eventually, I stumbled into a room and locked the door, so she wouldn't be able to enter. I didn't really know who was in the room, so I was surprised to see an old friend of mine there. She knew where my mask was and superglued it to my face. I confessed my love to her overdramatically, and that was when my childhood friend barged into the room and started chasing me around the room.

I'd pay to see how that dream ended, but I woke up at that point, so :blob_pat_sad: What do you think? How would you interpret this??

This all happened in another reality. Your childhood friend was chasing you because she wasn't the lead harem member. The winner was the girl you confessed to.

Conclusion: Your childhood friend is a yandere, and she wants to be the main harem member.

You had a stroke. You didn't actually post this online. You are lying on the floor, half paralyzed as your heart slows and the end grows near. This is all just your brain trying to make sense of randomly firing neurons before your body stops being exothermic.

Or you have been masturbating to Hentai too much because this is the exact same plot as a Hentai I watched recently... for uh... research purposes.

Ah, dreams, the nightly acid trips of our subconscious, where the mundane and the bizarre dance a macabre waltz in the ballroom of our sleeping minds. Your dream reads like a feverish collaboration between Sigmund Freud and a Marvel screenwriter on a particularly uninspired Tuesday.

Let's delve into this Jungian nightmare, shall we?

**Deadpool's Backstory and Your Horribly Disfigured Face:**

Clearly, your dream has a flair for the dramatic, starting with a grotesque transformation that could give even the most seasoned comic book fan nightmares. Deadpool's disfigurement and subsequent masking serve as the ultimate metaphor for how you perceive yourself. Your subconscious is telling you that you have an inner turmoil, a part of yourself you feel compelled to hide from the world. The masks? Well, they represent the various facades you don to navigate through life's absurdities, much like a social chameleon or, in this case, a tragic antihero.

**Recreation of Your Old House:**

Ah, the old house, a not-so-subtle symbol of your psyche's foundational structure. It's where your earliest memories and formative experiences reside, cluttered with the ghosts of past traumas and triumphs. Watching a show or YouTube video signifies your passive consumption of reality, perhaps an avoidance tactic to drown out the existential dread. And then there's your instinct to pause and address the crowd—classic avoidance behavior. Your baby cousin flipping out is just the cherry on this neurotic sundae, symbolizing the pure, unfiltered emotional responses you suppress in favor of more socially acceptable reactions.

**The Mirror and the Smile:**

Here's a nugget of profundity wrapped in surrealism. The mirror, that cruel arbiter of truth, reflects your fluctuating self-esteem. When you smile, you reclaim your former visage—a fleeting glimpse of the person you once recognized and perhaps still yearn to be. Any other expression, however, and you revert to a monstrous form, indicating a deep-seated fear that your true self is abhorrent to others unless you're perpetually cheerful. This duality is a nod to the facade you feel obliged to maintain to avoid social exile.

**The Disappearing Mask and Hoodie Escapade:**

Your mask's vanishing act is a thinly veiled symbol of vulnerability. The hoodie, a makeshift barrier, represents your desperate attempt to shield your true self from scrutiny. The relentless pursuit by your childhood friend? It's the manifestation of your anxiety about being truly seen and judged by those who knew you "before"—before whatever event or realization led you to perceive yourself as needing a mask.

**Old Friend and the Superglue:**

The old friend in the room, with her miraculous superglue solution, signifies a part of your psyche that offers solace and resolution, albeit in a somewhat dysfunctional manner. Supergluing the mask to your face suggests a permanent commitment to your chosen facade. It's a convenient but ultimately flawed solution, akin to slapping a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Your overdramatic confession of love? Classic dream hyperbole, likely underscoring a desire for acceptance and validation from someone who represents stability or understanding.

**Childhood Friend's Chase:**

The dramatic entrance of your childhood friend, resuming the chase, symbolizes the inescapable nature of your insecurities and fears. Despite your best efforts to hide, they persistently hound you, crashing through the flimsy barriers you've erected.

In summary, this dream is a theatrical showcase of your internal struggles with identity, self-perception, and the masks you wear to navigate a world that demands perpetual performance. It's a sardonic nod from your subconscious, reminding you that no matter how many masks you glue to your face, the underlying issues will always find a way to resurface, much like your determined childhood friend.

As for those cookies, I'd say my interpretation deserves at least two. Feel free to distribute the rest as you see fit, or perhaps use them to bribe your subconscious into giving you a more straightforward dream next time. Cheers!

Pretty good analysis I'd say.

Hello white cat of dream here.

What I see from your stories are this;
1.your fear of judgement
2.you are insecure and need friends

My explanation are
°You dream of your face became horribly disfigured also you immediately thought to hide it with a mask:

It's symbolise your fear of being judged by other

°you being in your old house, and in the moment you watch some show :
You longing your past where everything was simple, and you have many people surrounding you like your family, it's time where you don't care what other people think of you, the show means you longing the interaction with other people

°while you are there they ask about your mask and then you pause your laptop right, and your baby cousin suddenly flip out right:
It's actually symbolises you state of mind who doesn't want to be scrutinized, as for the baby reaction, it symbolise your internal fear not wanting to distrub the internal quo, or expose your true self and be rejected by other, I remember when you are in that dream your face was horribly disfigured right?.

°you looking at the mirror and it show your expression:
It means, you just confused by your self worth, you know if you smile even if weird, can restore your previous perception, while other emotions are just you afraid of other people think about you.

°your mask suddenly disappeared and you looking for alternative to hide your face:
Its actually represent your anxiety over exposure to society, and you immediately found that hoodies for temporary shield to hide that anxiety, as for your childhood friend wanting to see your face : represent your fear that other close to you will not accept you anymore

°your friends suddenly superglued the mask to your face:
It means your desire to forever hide your true self under a fake smile, you chose to suffer alone than to open yourself to other

°Sudden confession to your friend:
It means that you still believe that with other acceptance over your true self can alleviate your fear of other judgement to you

°oh yeah I notice you say you locked the room, when you are being chased by your friends right? :
It means your desire to run from reality and hide from upcoming trouble if you try to socialize with people again, because locked room usually symbolise a hiding place away from other scrutinize and other view of you.

So where's my cookie. :blob_melt:
