I had an idea to make an interactive story, which I did, I made a few actually. My stories involve the main characters of my 'Fates of Relics Undone' book. You can comment on the story to ask them questions about what's going on. I just thought that was pretty interesting? Like they're being interviewed. Well, what If I made a story that a woman has been isekeied and she has to make choices based on her surroundings. I think that would be pretty interesting? At the end of every chapter there could be a choice that needs to be made by the readers. what would ya'll think of that?

Write a normal story, and once you have enough fans make an interactive one.
that would make more sense haha. I've got one I'm working on, 'The Relics of Fate Undone.' I'm trying to write a few more to get more people to read my works. hopefully more people follow me so I can do that lol. I could write a draft for one and publish it when I think I have enough followers though.

It only makes sense if you already have some fans to kickstart it; you could even like put them inside of the story as some kind of chat and she using some comments as feedback for her actions. It's kind of interactive; it doesn't really need to be interactive. Have her see that is a chat function but it doesn't work and try from chapter one to encourage people to comment in the chapters so that you can pick some for her to react to.

something like that.

I've done something similar. My story, Two Faces, is reader interactive. I write a poll, they vote on what they want to do. The highest vote wins.

Not saying you should read it, but if you do, beware R18+ content. My fans are horny people.

Oh wait that's actually cool! I'm guessing it's inspired from how to train your dragon? Ngl I would go as far as to say it's the BEST movie of all time haha.

lol I do agree it's definitely top-tier. the book was good too, despite being completely different from the movie. But I wouldn't go so far as to say HTTYD inspired Two Faces. my actual thought train involved another 18+webnovel I read years ago about a Mimic chest that became sentient.

I have seen this attempted a few times. The only times it seemed to work were when they were seasonal (I think two Halloween and one other that I'm blanking on) stories on dedicated websites. It's a cool idea, but rarely ever finds a good, stable audience.

It has been attempted, but with a little to no success. Neither Royal Road nor Scribble Hub are particularly geared towards it, considering how they operate vs. what is required, and readers aren't accustomed to it.

The sites like Spacebattles, Sufficient Velocity and Questionable Questing have a massive audience for interactive stories (they call quests) and everyone is accustomed to them. Some have features for counting votes build into their interface, and they use same software as this forum here (XenForo)

There is a fanbase alright, but not here. Ever heard of ChoiceScript? Search it up. If you can learn a little coding, you can create your interactive story in a text game format for free and sell it on Playstore. I don't know about IOS. All in all, it costs nothing to create the text game all in coding. [If you didn't knew that and thinking of making one, don't forget to send me a free copy.??]

I think a fandbase is needed here. - I am kind of doing this myself right now. (I wrote a visual novel game and now I am creating a book out of a fiew of the choices there) --- I have ha quite decent fanbase for my illustrations and still it is not really easy to get any attention on my polls. Normally there are 1-6 answers, which is enough to go on, but not a lot. Also I find that the first chapter got more attention than the following ones. Not sure if this is on me for not making enough advertisement, or if it is just a common thing that new projects gain more attention. (This always happens to me) --- I hope my experiences help you.

The first chapter always gets the most attention, always. Usually, the rest languish until either people start talking you up for some reason (good or bad), or you hit 20 chapters, or you get a lot of feedback (usually due to review swaps or catching the eye of an "elder statesman" of the site) around the ten-chapter mark.

Hahaha! Yeah! I thought so. :-D Thanks for supporting my thought. :-D --- But yeah, I was just trying to say: Even with a fanbase I do not expect for MANY people to participate in the polls and if nobody does participate in one week, I will just use a randomizer for the given choices. I guess it is important not to feel bad about it when this happens. :-)
