About the voices, my approach was to choose a voice for the narrator and the different characters. Plus, I am male. And the narrator, the main voice, is female because the MC is female. I do not know about audacity but I have another program to edit audio with.

Also, if I go through with this I need something that has the least amount of work with it. I can’t spare days on editing/splicing, which is why I did it with Event Lab. I get a relatively good read from the get-go and I just need to edit together the whole thing afterward. The story itself is still ongoing and I am on chapter 130, having around 370k+ words.

I simply lack the funds to make others read that much for me and also lack the equipment to do it myself in a fine quality. Also... Without glaring accent. So my option that gets me what I want, with a reasonable input of money for something that is 300k plus words and growing... Is AI.

I would be most pleased if you have a little time and I could borrow your ear for a few minutes! I am planning on turning my story into an audiobook, and I'd like to have some feedback before I truly dig deep into this thing.

Some key points you should be aware of:

• The voices are AI-generated. Now, before you click away, reading this, I am not using generic text-to-speech. Give it a click, and skip into a little, if nothing else, to know what I mean.
• That being said, this is still AI. Errors happen that I just can't seem to fix, so I choose the best of what I was given. Hopefully, the whole thing came out enjoyable.
• I am only curious as to how it feels to listen to this. Is it good enough, or should I forgo this project of mine altogether?
• Lastly, I'd really like to know if you would be willing to pay a 1$ Patreon subscription for something like this? Because I plan to put it up there... but I did not make a decision about that yet. But I'd like to read some thoughts about that too.
