I use light mode discord. But I don’t see what the issue is with it.

That's a sort of unspoken rule, I guess? That discord is used in dark mode? When I downloaded my discord, my borther asked me why am I using light mode in that tone people use when they pretend they can't believe something.

Apart from draining battery faster and being less dark-room-friendly there isn't much of a reason to use dark mode, I guess.

Dark mode is just overall easier on the eyes. I can barely look at anything light mode anymore because I fucked up my eyes from having brightness at 100% for most of my life. Now I need brightness down to at least 20% and on dark mode otherwise my eyes get really irritated. I even got google on dark mode. I also blame the people that used to shine flashlights in my face being like, "Is iT BRiGhT?" Yes it is cause now I can barely look at anything bright now.
