Tbf I haven't seen any longer story without at least one 2-star, unless they only have a small number of readers. Still a bit sad to see though.

Yeah, more visibility means more bad ratings. It also invites hate from jealous authors. Don't let it drag you down.

Thank you. I'll try not to. I suppose you just get used to it over time.
I think that it'd be better if you can only rate a story after reading a certain number of chapters though.

On the bright side of this, if your novel does really well, the higher ratings will far outweigh the lower ones. Plus, in my opinion, I believe reviews are the better advertisement rather than the rating system. At least then we get to read why the novel is given that rating and we get to show our likes to the review if it is a good one.

I'm sorry but I don't think I have any suggestion to give. I didn't do anything out of ordinary. Added some smut, posted the first 5 chapter with an hour or two in between each post, then one chapter per day for the next 10. Now I'm down to 2 chapters per week.

No advertising or shoutout or the meta GB.
