I think I misinterpreted what a "webnovel" is.

Ah, I thought it said psychopaths. Sorry for the mixup. As for the second part, I didn't say it was bad. Sorry if my words made you think I was jabbing at you. I didn't get the writing and editing and finishing a chapter all in one day, though. I thought you meant writing and editing in one day in general, as in doing that over a number of days like you said with editing, till the chapter's done.
Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I edit as I write it... sometimes I made a mistake in editing and when coming back to read the chapter, I'll see a rough patch where I had rearranged a couple paragraphs.
Ahaha... I do this as well. Except that I sometimes get lazy and skimp through the edit, thinking: well... the future me got this... right...?

Not all webnovels are serials, but the format does lend itself to that. I'm 100% amateur and doing this for fun, and it's been a nice forcing function to get me to write.

You can always go back and re-edit things, or even take down the story and start re-posting the revised version if you make a radical enough change.

Do what works for you and don't worry about what other people seem to be doing. Most of those people don't have jobs . . . or partners . . . or toddlers.

I think I might just be stupid and making the process more challenging for no reason.
Revision is a modern thing mostly. You'll never be productive doing it, and you'll get bored with writing. Learn to write a novel that doesn't need a bunch of revision.

I'm one of the ones who found out the hard way that what I was writing wasn't what I wanted at all and hard to start over. Learning curve, I guess. I don't plan well either, I think once the initial plan is worked out, I know the story, so what's the point of writing it? So I am writing, and won't be posting/publishing til finished. No matter how much I think I know what I'm doing this time, I bet I don't, really.

I wish I was one of those people who can bash out 2k chapters every single day though. Sadly I have a life and that proper gets in the way of anything I want to do like

Part of the fun is not knowing what the heck you’re going to write in the next few days or the next week because you’re figuring it out as you go.
