First of all, you need more information and you need to gauge how interested they are in having you.

What’s the history of the company and what games have they made before? What’s the contract structure like?

this isn’t ghost writing where it’s a simple “2-5 cents a word” if it’s a legit game developer.

Games run through several phases including testing and editing and if you’re a writer then you’ll be constantly rewriting depending on the direction of the game.

Ask the developer what the compensation parameters are or what they prefer. Are they paying by words, by the hour, by re-writes? How much communication time is required?

You need to know the extent of your responsibilities and what’s expected of you to make sure the game is good especially if your name is going to be attached.

Anyhow, there isn’t enough information to talk about rates without those details.
Oh yeah, which country you’re from affects this as well as certain contract stipulations don’t work in every country.

Just saying. You don’t want to get stuck in a contract where you have to do unlimited re-writes on a 996 without overtime pay.
