I'm writing an erotic Naruto fan fiction, this one to be exact, Sakura Haruno: Slutty, Competent Ninja | Scribble Hub, and I have a question. This site bans sex with "real world" animals, but canonically, Akamaru is a "ninja hound." He is as intelligent as a human, Kiba can talk to him, and he is an adult in Shippuden. He passes the Harkness test. So, would I get in trouble for Akamaru and Sakura having consensual sexual relations? Sakura is 19 in my version, so she is of age, and it's consensual. So, would it be okay if I stated how intelligent Akamaru is and had Kiba there to interpret the consent?

Damn, I was hoping since I saw "Monster Sex" with a giant wolf in one story on this site, and I was hoping it would be okay since Akumaru passed the Harkness test. It's not a big deal, and I wasn't planning on including it when I started the story; it's just I'm about to write an orgy scene, and Akamura is just naturally there as Kiba is involved.

IMO, it would depend on how explicit it gets. If it is just "Yeah, this happened" or the archetypal classic James Bond "They are clearly into each other, they embrace, fade to black, then one of them is getting out of bed wearing minimal clothes and it is clear some time has passed" it should be barely OK - but if you get into them, ahem, "doing it doggie style" you will probably ruffle a bunch of feathers. Even some feathered boas.

This is a weird thing to say that I think a lot of people might disagree with.

The consent part, not the intelligence part.

Consent is a very weird thing, because it only really requires 3 things: Knowledge of what you are consenting to, the ability to say no, and the correct circumstance for which saying no will be respected and allowed as a choice.

None of those things presuppose humanlike intelligence, or require it. Any creature you could get to meet these requirements COULD consent to a sexual act.

Don't try this. Maybe don't write this either. And definitely don't use this as anything other than a fun thought experiment... BUT:

Humanlike Intelligence =/= ability to give or accept consent

Subhumanlike Intelligence =/= inability to give or accept consent

Consent is a learned social behavior. Anything that can learn complex social behaviors could theoretically learn consent as one of them. Someone would just need to teach it, which is, yknow, problematic.
