If you're going slice of life and just want to write some hilarious miscommunications, have one character be denser than a black hole and the other hopelessly in love with them. The one in love is trying hard to date the first while the the first one just thinks the one in love is coming to them as a friend and wants pointers/education on how to date. Also, every other person in their friend/acquaintance circle knows the second is in love and are just watching with popcorn. For extra crack-ness, you can also state that the first has a system/cultivation/whatever that levels up as they do "good" deeds so they accidentally end up farming the happy responses out of the one in love.
