Hello everyone
Today I'm not here to discuss anything, or at least that's the idea. Instead, I just wanted to tell you a little bit about my novel, well, for no reason at all other than I've worked on it quite a bit on this and I want to show it to others.

Synopsis
Cesar is a veteran soldier with a mysterious past, for him supernatural creatures and ghosts are everyday things. He has saved the world from a brutal war against the dragons, a war that no one remembers, only to find himself involved in yet another war on his return. The Alliance and the Empire have been engaged in the Continental War of Europe for years. Cesar loses his life in an important mission to recover the Codex, a gem capable of granting a wish at great cost, the same object that originated the war against the dragons. But offered a second chance, the option to return to life but in the body of a white fox girl, a familiar face and a greater mystery are now set to be uncovered. He accepts with the goal of saving his sister, finding his lost family and unraveling the mystery of his past that continues to haunt him even after his death.
But at the end of the day, it is a story about the family and how important it is for everyone to help each other to go ahead.
I have been working on this novel writing it for 2 and a half years but in the planning phase for about 10 years. It already exceeds 580 thousand words and I think it is barely 40% of what I have planned from the beginning, although of course things can change, the positive side is that I already have its end already planned in its entirety, I just have to execute it and the whole final arc falls without any delay.
Yes I know it is overwhelmingly long, but somehow it has been both long and short at the same time. I feel like I have spent a lot of time writing this, but at the same time I could easily write a lot more things in more detail than I did, I think if I rewrote the whole thing I could easily double that amount just trying to be more descriptive or "fit in" some events.
Talking about the story, it is a combination of absolutely everything, fantasy and science fiction, everyday elements, political intrigue, war, strategies, battles. The main idea of mine was to create a story with all the things I like, the problem is that I like everything, so I worked hard on a story where it could fit, however ridiculous it was, but at the same time it made sense. A place where dragons fight against modern armies, Gods and monsters live hidden among humans, while the land tries to be mostly the same as the one we live in. Angels and demons are in a perpetual war trying to win over the other side, while at the same time living their lives quietly.
The story is divided into two parts: The past, a kind of prequel, something that happened before the real beginning of the novel, where a great war that devastated the planet, in which humans fought against the dragons. And the present, where the story begins, in the midst of a continental war between two factions, the Alliance, basically NATO and other countries, against the Empire, a resurgence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, along with its subsequent end and consequences.
The central theme of the whole plot revolves around the family, and how it is important that all its members help each other. Although it has quite a few "inclusive" elements, I didn't write about them in order to follow any agenda. I just thought that some things would be interesting for the story and lore of the plot, like what happened to the main character, while in others I thought about how a family should live with someone with special needs. Speaking also about the family and their experiences, I have also included quite a few of my own, it is even surprising how many of the things that happen in the novel that seem fantasy or false in reality are real and personal experiences, but I think that just adds to the novel's charm.
Another thing I also want to emphasize is that despite the numerous fantasy elements present, I have worked tirelessly to add as many real details as possible to my story. I have spent a lot of time researching as much as possible details that I believe are necessary to give credibility to the things that happen. For example, in a military attack in New York I looked up where the different power plants in the city were located to include them as priority targets, or on another occasion I even found the operation manual for an F-18 fighter.
Since the story has a lot of information and different elements, I have also worked on a glossary as complete as possible, to make it easy to be aware of everything that happens or is forgotten, from characters, places, weapons, important objects, factions, as well as important events for the novel as such, maybe even clues about what happens in the future.
As for the battles, I wanted to make them in the best possible way, trying to create a puzzle where the reader is given all the possible information that the characters would have at that point, the places where the enemies are, their strengths, what resources the allies have. So that readers can try to solve it on their own with the same resources or how the characters solved it using the same tools. And well, so far no reader has complained about the battles.
Finally, as for the main character's family, I wanted to make a harem, obviously for personal preference, after all the story is mine, I wanted the things that the most important reader of my novel (me) wanted to be there. But at the same time I didn't want it to be the same old same old as in other stories, so I've worked hard to make every girl that appears important, both for the story and the kind of dynamics she brings to the relationships between characters. None of them are just for decoration, many of the situations that happen could only be solved by having the right people at the right time. Besides, I think that having a family as a central axis and including such a peculiar Harem to it would make the whole story a little more special, because far from being a battle to see who is the winner and gets the main character at the end, it's more like "a pack" where everyone takes care of each other together against the problems that arise.
