My address hasn’t changed, I still have few people on my friend list on Facebook( made a new account after losing credentials for old one.) I guess that means I’m not wanted or they don’t have information on me. None of those on the friend list reach out for a reunion. I never reach out because of embarrassment last time I saw any of them and falling out with others. Plus I hear they are overrated so there is no point in the modern age.

They are overrated. My high school has a "leadership" team in charge of organizing it, and for the first one, they made it too expensive for a lot of people to attend, and it wasn't even in our town.

I met one of my classmates in uni and found that they had done at least two reunions.

Checked with the guy that my phone number has not changed ever even till now. I did not bothered to be on Facebook even though I have two accounts.

Yeah, I am completely ignored.

Mind you, the sad did surfaced. But it was also gone quite fast.

And since then till today, at least a decade passed, I never had any invitation, which is for the best considering how I am currently doing in life though.

How old do you even have to be to get a high school reunion invitation?

I think my year should do one too, but people are scattered all across the country, so even if they did (and I wasn't invited) I wouldn't be really sad as I couldn't (and don't want to) attend.

What do you actually do there? Eating and talking. Embarrassing if you have nothing to show or worse, the food is bad and you paid money to attend/drive there.

Should depend on the organizers. Seen people done one after 3 years while others do it every decade like a marriage anniversary

Enter wearing a construction vest and face mask, take the pop tarts if there's any, leave. JK

But FR tho, do younger people still do HS Reunions? Granted, I'm still relatively young.
I spent HS in the countryside so everybody knows everybody, so we're a pretty tight knit group.
And we just hang around for a couple of drinks nowadays if we feel like it.

It would be weird if they sent me one. I got through a remedial school for all the dumbasses. Why? I got home-schooled for stuff that got expunged from my record. What that meant, was while I did get nothing but A's and B's, I didn't have enough credits. Even the councilor that I got to see, with the Principal hovering over us, was confused.

If anyone here is also confused:
Good grades give passing credits. Credits mean a class was passed. I was so slow, I had good grades but, everything showed that I was basically missing a little over a year of school work while having the paperwork show that I was still there in the home school program.

So here I go to the place where the true ghetto failures from across the entire valley are herded for my last year in high school. A place to turn the machine up to 11 and hope that no one goes to a paid adult school within one year. Take a wild guess what happened? 2nd in the entire school. Got myself a little ghetto scholarship of $1500 and a free meal voucher at the Mcdonalds.

My first time meeting the Principal was the first day outside the security room. First thing he says is, "watcha do?" automatically. No build up or anything. I was confused and he got confused when I said I was there to get my school ID. He starts chatting with the finest ass of this little asian guard that even the pregnant midget that was around could punt. Turned out I threw him off because he saw me sitting there with my hands on my knees just minding my own business. That's how I found out that this place was going to be fun.

It boosted my chances for college. I joined everything knowing it was going to be the bare minimum for maximum effort with how shit everything was. Yearbook committee and graduation? Sat there and smiled. Morning announcements? Meet anchor number 1 mumbling my way to the top. Most books read, teachers assistant, etc etc.

I've seen more about the one for the class ahead of mine (last year) and the one a year after mine than I have mine (which either was yesterday or a week ago). There was a flurry of discussion about it back in January or February (when it looked like I might be able to attend), but barely a peep since.

Went back for my college one year but every time since, for HS or college, either I find out with too little time to make arrangements, or it happens when I'm unemployed and can't afford it. Every freakin' time.

My dad said his 40 year reunion (which wow... would have been mine this year!) was great - most of the class was still alive, they could reminisce about the few who weren't, and just had some fun. His fiftieth was depressing though because there were only about 1/3 as many people. Don't think they did one after. Mom went to only one that I knew of, 30th or 35th I think, and said more about the people who weren't there (especially her first boyfriend, who was an odd duck and something like a third cousin - and had gone into the CIA after college) than the ones who were.

As a kind of aside - I had print invitations to my college 1 and 5 year reunions, my HS 5 year one, and on-line invites to assist in PLANNING (but not to attend; not sure if they assumed helping plan WAS an invitation?) HS 20 and 40. Have only been to college 1 year.

I went to my 10 year solely to flex my Korea girlfriend, nah that's a joke. She wanted to go to one to see if "they are like in the movies". That was a shock to my system that basic tourist things affect other cultures

I don't even know how anyone would track me down short of knowing my parents or siblings. The only social media I have is Facebook, but that is only family, and the settings are such that you need to be a friend of a friend to see me at all. Completely different address and phone number, and have moved enough that most of the addresses listed online are not even the right state. They would need to reach out to my family to get in touch, and most of the people who knew me didn't know my siblings...

I was invited to one a week before it happened, and since I never use social media I didn't see it until three days after it happened.
