I have something to admit:
I bait readers for novelettes with AI generated BL pictures.
I have fallen far.
The worst thing?
ChatGPT writes my Midjourney prompts because mine were only good for Hetalia fics, and then only for like one, two characters.
(Shame, shame, shame).

I don't think it is a big deal for fan fiction. It is not like you are making money off of it so it counts as fair use.
I started writing original stories in German, actually. But did you know that there are people who can put together a children's book with ChatGPT, Midjourney, Photoshop, and something else, but I forgot what it was? And they sell it for a lot.

Shame? Why? I post images created by AI to enhance my story. I even held a swimsuit competition with my female characters, letting my readers vote who they liked the most. It is a great tool for enhancing interaction with your readers.

How could you do that to your poor readers!?

I have an apology to make
I'm afraid I made a big mistake
I turn my face away from you, Lord
I was too blind to feel your light,
I was too meek to see your might,
I closed my eyes, I couldn't see the truth, Lord,
But then like Saul on the damascus road,
You sent a messenger to me, and so
Now I've had the truth revealed to me
Please forgive me all those things I said
I'll no longer betray you, Lord
I will pray to you instead

And I will say thank you, thank you
Thank you, God
Thank you, thank you
Thank you, God...

Thank you, God, for fixing the cataracts of Sam's mum
I had no idea, but it's suddenly so clear now
I feel such a cynic, how could I have been so dumb?
Thank you for displaying how praying works:
A particular prayer in a particular church
Thank you, Sam, for the chance to acknowledge this

I have something else to admit. I just got my first hate on deviant art, with not one, but three middle fingers. I really wanted to wish the user that he or she should be pooped on by a bird, you know, for luck, but the little shit blocked me.
So I blocked him right back, and I deleted his comment.
I wonder what set him off? It is not like I forgot to add the ai tag to the art.

Some people just don't like AI arts, they think it's stepping in a forbidden territory. Since creativity should only belong to human for some people.

Personally, as an author, they are good to get reference materials for artists when I want an official cover. I have a friend who is working on a cover for my novel, giving him the references really speed things along.

I came clean to my deviantart crowd that I am a BL author. In a Post. Pretty sure that nobody reads them, though. German BL for the Win!
And since I am admitting things, well, here is something else. I bought the reword app, which has a library of more than 5k German words. To learn 60 new ones, I scrolled through 200 that I already knew. Two days in a roll.

They haven't been able to sell it for lot, as far as I've heard. The one that got a lot of attention was... not very good. There are GPT + Midjourney + Photoshop illustrated books up on Amazon but they're all "bottom feeders," like spam. Getting bad reviews.

I already admit this part openly: I'm using AI to write everything (well, I write half, it generates the other half) and to make images for every chapter. They're all over most of my series (except Parturient, which someone else writes). But I don't use GPT or Midjourney, they're way too limited and clunky for creative work that you want to refine.

Made a little money (ko-fi) and will probably put some version up on Amazon KDP eventually... but I'm putting work into it (just much more efficiently than without AI) so I'm not ashamed personally -- I just feel like the overall AI / creative landscape is pretty shitty due to low-effort prompting and lack of payment for training data.

I’ve generated ai art for most of my characters, despite it being a Warcraft fanfic and many (though far from all) of the characters having official art, primarily because I enjoy it and would prefer to have a consistent art style for the pictures I post. I have no shame, because it’s just a bit of fun and I absolutely wouldn’t have commissioned well over 100 pieces of artwork of different characters.

Dear doravg,

In my Humble opinion, AI generated art is very acceptable and very generous for Free WebNovel and especially FanFics.

It can be acceptable for temporary art of Early-chapter Patreon content, as in the Chapter will be released for free afterwards.

AI art may sound too much for Patreon-Only chapter that won't be released for free, but if someone protest; you can always say that the patreon only chapter were only include "Chapter", not the "Art". Especially when you can just say that "The AI Art is a test to see which AI generated character and environment designs would fit the story."

But, this is the limit of what you can push with AI Art : When Artist-made Art isn't "Expected" from the author.

Once you promise an Patreon Only chapter with Official art and only gives AI Art, or even worse : promising Patron only paid content about the high quality artwork, but only gives AI made art that isn't edited or isn't reworked. That is unacceptable, outright scam even.

It's also unacceptable for AI Art to be used inside Official E-Book, or Amazon Kindle Book.

Even if the quality of the AI art is "That Good", you still need an Artist or Art editor to edit and redesign them for better fitting the book cover and artworks.

In conclusion, there's no fault at using AI made art if it used properly. Therefore you don't need to worry about those anti-AI elitist.

That's it from me,

O.O
A.I.-Ception.

I just need an AI that can make a basic Manga format.
Nope, I just know that it would work the same as image generation. Just feed it manga instead of illustrations.

Using a raw manga template like Lora and attaching it to a 2D model might work, but creating a manga from scratch would be challenging. You would need to feed it a story and have it generate multiple images, which must be attached properly. I don't think it's possible with regular tools, but you could create a collage or something similar by hand if you have the time to spare .. In future, we will get an extension of something like that for sure tho ..
