So, imagine the following:
You are in a burnout, somehow, you don't even know how, the Muse starts to speak to you. Your mood improves, you find perfect Music which speaks to you, and you binge write!

But...

You have told your readers that they will get updates only on Fridays!

And now you just want to share the next chapter, but don't want to risk spamming.

What would you do in that situation?

Sounds like you are making good progress. I'd say stick with one a week until you are comfortable with your new pace of writing and have some backlog, then consider changing to two a week, maybe three a week if you continue to get more done than you post.

Except for the "Every Friday" (and implied "regular readers") I have pretty much been there. Just stick to a release schedule for one book - you'll get to the important chapter eventually. And the muse may be fickle and play hard to get for a few days or weeks so best to be safe...

OR set up something like a Patreon/Substack or whatever pay site and give everything or all but the latest chapter to your paying readers while keeping the release schedule for your freeloading followers.

STEADY POSTING SCHEDULE!

Also, this is how you build up backlog before your next burn out or lull happens. *write* just as much, but keep your posting rate the same.

I am almost back to a backlog of 30 chapters. Also, the chapters are available on Patreon, and the top tier gets them 'live' rather than on a schedule.

This is a fanfic, there is no way to post it on Patreon. Things are just not done like that.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I didn't realize it was fanfic. >.< But the rest stands. :)
