Food is for eating but the rich exploit it for fancy, nonsensical dishes with no value other than design and being posh. Food should be for gathering, eating, and growing relationaly with those we eat beside.

Food culture has existed since pre-agriculture, and in fact, exists within species beyond humans. I mean, at a fundamental level, you can simply look to dogs and cats and see that they too have preferences for certain foods over others. Humans just autistically pursue singular crafts over our long lives, thus perfecting the craft of food making. Cooking the perfect steak or cake is something to be celebrated. Fundamentally, I'd rather eat a well baked cake then the ingredients of a cake tossed in a bowl and microwaved for 25 seconds. We can't reasonably disentangle the concept of cooking from culture, so let those who want to be vegans be vegans. I'm hardened enough to fight back against them with arguments of usable farmland and overall sustainability.
