I hate chinese novels

If I said this in China, I would get sniped by the Chinese government, but I agree, many Chinese novels just, suck. (context: I'm Chinese)

Many of it is just rinse and repeat. Some of it is good (looking at the BL comment above) and others is just wish fulfillment.

Another thing about many Chinese novels that I don't like, is the translation. In the Chinese language, sometimes there is no need for a verb, making translations difficult and oftentimes very difficult to read and enjoy. At least in my opinion. If you manage to get both a Chinese fluent and English fluent translator, I'm sure you can add in some words where it's needed and make it more readable, and less MLT like.

Those novels are "made in china", which should tell you that they're miserable bootleg products of inferior to questionable quality. /s

I don't like those chinese tropes myself, especially the whole cultivation thing. Whenever they talk about cultivation all I can think of is farming mushrooms or other foodstuff. And during their boasting about their power I always ask nyself if they're really boasting or just explaining the way to the next supermarket...

The thing is chinese novels with a unique story are rarely picked up even if they are popular those rinse and repeat novels cater to the immediate fantasies of the majority so yeah they make money and money talks....

Some Chinese web novels do have many problems, but there are also some relatively high-quality novels.

All I know about Chinese novels is that they take place on solar system sized planets and the protagonists wipe out whole continents with a cold gleam in their eyes.

Here is my review for a Chinese Manhua which I think could be used for some Novels from China.

Do you know what is more epic than nationalism? Rascism! This is why Korean novels are top-tier.
