There was a novel I was reading a while back, pretty sure it was on scribblehub. Protagonist could transform into other things but mainly took on either a human form or a cat form. Takes place in an academy. Her guardian/parent(?) is the principal/headmaster. Supernatural abilities were a part of the story. Story begins with her enrollment.
