Diminishing views are normal.

It happens to other writers, even the successful ones, and it's reasonably common even on the other sites.

Readers often lose interest in the story somewhere in the middle, and it most cases, you won't find out why. If you do find out, it's often through those typical posts which made the Royal Road so toxic.

Curiously enough, even those top list stories on the Royal Road lose readers the way you do, but since they are always visible, they can outgrow the attrition.

From reading experience - the suspense is always more interesting than the ending. But it will be impossible to please everyone. Some people will get bored with too much intrigue. Even if it's properly alternated. If you pay attention to some TV series, they keep viewers with the fact that each episode is like a new movie. If one is able to withstand such a shift in the work, loyal readers will stay for a long time.

Well, It doesn't feel like you are treating this as a long-term goal if you are worried about getting readers at this point of your writing.

At this point you're just creating the story for yourself and hopefully others hop on board as your book or volume comes to its completion. Getting reviews means you're resonating something with your readers either good or bad.

The best way to get any traction is at least getting a chapter out a day. If the stuff that you're writing is any good then you'll retain readers. If not, then it's just a story that's missing something. And there's Nothing bad about that, unless you don't learn from it.
I'm sorry if you see it that way, but that's really how I feel whenever I write. I was just worried my new schedule would change things for the worst, but now, I see what's happening is simply normal.
