I completed a book!

My new story, The Antique Shop, ended up a novella. I wanted to write 100k words, but ended up writing 70k, instead. The ending came naturally and so, I wanted to avoid stretching it. I have been working on it for 12 days. If I have spent just two more, it would have been book length. But, oh, well. I have no idea what I will write next. But I hope I will complete it, too. Scribble Hub has motivated me to finish my projects. As of now, all my Scribble Hub entries are completed.
Ai-chan told me it was book length, after all. So, yay, it is a book! On the shorter side, but a book!

A novella is a fictional piece between a short story and a novel with anywhere from 10,000 to 40,000 words. There’s an even narrower story option—the novelette—that has a word count between 7,500 and 17,000 words.

So, the story is book length? I thought that those started at 80k words.

Beyond 40k it's without a doubt a novel. Some using older definitions would define novella as something even shorter, such as under 22k words.
