I built a tool to cross-post chapters between ScribbleHub and other web novel platforms

Hey everyone! I created a browser extension called WebnovelSync that helps authors post the same chapter across multiple web novel platforms at once.

The extension supports extracting from ScribbleHub, RoyalRoad, AO3, FanFiction.net, Wattpad, and Webnovel. You can extract a chapter from any of these sites and it will automatically fill in the forms on other platforms and publish it for you. It also supports publishing to Inkitt (publish-only due to their copy protection).

Important note: The extension has built-in protection that verifies you own the story before allowing any copying. It checks that you're logged into the source platform and have editing permissions for the story, so it can't be used to steal other people's work.

It's free to use for basic features (20 chapters/day, ScribbleHub only), with paid tiers if you need to post to more platforms or higher volume. The extension handles all the copying and form filling to save you from manually doing it across 7 different sites.

I made this because I was tired of manually copying chapters between different platforms when I wanted to reach readers everywhere. Figured other ScribbleHub authors might find it useful too, especially those cross-posting to places like RoyalRoad, Webnovel, or AO3.

Just to clarify, WebnovelSync doesn't collect or store any login credentials (usernames/passwords). It works with your existing browser sessions when you're already logged into these platforms.

The "Authentication Information" mentioned refers to checking if you're currently logged in (using browser cookies/session tokens that are already there), not collecting your actual login details. It's the same way any browser extension works when it needs to verify you have access to post on a platform.

The extension can't and doesn't store passwords or usernames, it just checks "is this person already logged into ScribbleHub/RoyalRoad/etc" to verify you own the story before allowing cross-posting.

But I completely get not wanting to use tools that handle authentication data, even indirectly.

Thanks for pointing this out, you were absolutely right to be concerned. I've updated the privacy policy to be much clearer about what the extension actually does vs doesn't collect.

What I changed:
- Removed misleading references to collecting "login credentials" and "authentication tokens"
- Clarified that it only checks if you're already logged in (by looking at page elements like
"Edit Story" buttons)
- Will update the Chrome Web Store permissions to uncheck "Authentication information" since we
don't actually collect passwords/credentials when I am able to

The reality: The extension works like checking "am I logged in?" by seeing if your profile shows up on a website - no actual credential collection happens.

That AI vomit here shows perfectly that the extension is not to be trusted, as there is a non-zero probability of it being used to create it, and this means it is not secure.

My bad I'm not really used to doing the whole "customer service" thing. I want to be professional which is why I used AI in my response but what I did respond with is true, I don't collect any user login or passwords.

Sorry, it's my first time releasing a chrome extension and I thought people would prefer the professional reliable extension which is why I initially responded with the AI responses.

Tbh, I really interested with this extension. But too bad, I always using my phone when posting chapters, so...

It posts the existing chapters for example, you've released 1 chapter on scribblehub, you're than able to select which platforms you want to post to and it handles it. I haven't really thought of making a phone app but if I were to it'd probably be a safari extension that operates the same way, that's for the future though.
