A long title I know but thanks for clicking I'd appreciate any thoughts. So I’ve had many ideas run through my head and this one feels the most interesting, that’s why I want opinions. This idea brings together an apocalyptic, steam/biopunk world together.

Anyways idea time, the world has gone to shit, human and vampires were originally at war. Humans developed steampunk technology to combat vampire’s blood magic. Face a new threat when a mad scientist of the war combines both creating biopunk seven horrors and superspecies that now plague the world.

Forcing both races to fight over dominion to face what is essentially an endless nightmare, a few years later the story follows a regular battle steampunk scavenger who after running into a vampire and barely surviving. He ends up running into a bio monster a descendant of one of the horros. which I feel like I should call sins, like the seven sins. Think like the seven horrors(sins) each being like a bee queen and the monsters being their soldiers and drones.

I have it in mind to keep the monster count limited, like the sin of lust horrors would be blood goblins or something, Wrath monsters could be mutated bot flies which if you don’t know what that is then good for you, and have one type of monster representing each sin, make them unique in a way.

In the clash, he barely scrapes by with luck and skill but sadly destroys his steam backpack and gets assimilated by bio-sins core when he finds out the thing still lives and in the process of assimilating properly kills it and gains the core and Bio powers result. The story follows in a world where some factions want everyone dead, some want peace, others have their own goals like controlling the sins and he a rarity stands in the middle trying to reach his own goals.

The Mc doesn’t stand out much as with both sides working together. Biopunk tech has been shared in creating new soldiers (hunters) with bio-powers, but he's special as there is no technology melded into his body. Haven’t decided on a love interest and am on the fence about it, but I’ve been thinking of a vampire waifu, though I think it’d be a later romance-type thing.

Ever read “Leviathan” the Manhwa? Or played prototype? Like that but watered down to fit the world. No system, no harem, and no fantasy I guess unless you count this as fantasy, definitely an apocalypse. Also noticed there isn’t a steam-punk or bio-punk tag only cyber-punk.

If Tony got it added, lots of steam-punk lovers would've read them all steamy stories.

Opinion time:

1st. Get your wording right first, it itches me sometimes. But if you can't, well... Try to make the readers able to perceive what is in the story.

2nd. The Seven Deadly Sins could be any species really, as long as what they're doing correlates with their role in the Seven Horrors.

- For instance: A Dragon-like abomination hoarding any currency it deems has value, an Ogre with its wrath of dominating lesser species, a Bat with super-speed being a loot goblin, and more.

3rd. To Be Added.

I'll work on my wording a dragon-like abomination hoarding things is on the nose but also accurate. It gives me an Idea.

Bioweapon monsters vs steampunk and vampires sound like a fun concept.
Steampunk weapons are peak especially if it's a melee weapon.

Probably won't be popular but sounds interesting. The only thing, I think biopunk theme isn't fleshed out. So far "sins" and "horrors" look like typical monsters from Korean webtoons, but in a shiny new wrapper. Or at least the way you presented makes it look like that. Don't forget that unlike certain other 'punks' biopunk is tightly connected to cyberpunk. Both have similar themes. If you shed too much of it, biopunk will lose its uniqueness and start looking like other generic works that simply uses monsters.
