How your books can be read, even after you have changed their status to complete? Simple. Write a sequel. It doesn't have to be with the same characters that you have used in book 1. It doesn't even have to be a part of a series. Just swap the Shared Universe connection, say how many years before, or after, the second book unfolds compared to the first one and voilà! People check out your completed book, to get the references in the second one, which is being advertised in the latest updated page.
Of course, if your book dominated the view ranking, you don't need a sequel...
Must be nice. Personally, I don't know the feeling.
Anyway, I have tested the sequel method with Anti-cake Dungeon Delving and Life Skilling. It works.

I'd like to have that kind of talent. The only story I completed came about because I was so bored writing it, that I just finished it out of spite.

Uh... I wrote mine poorly so I said it was complete for a while as I edited before realizing that I had so much more to write.

My other five parts, playing in the same story universe, are still in the wrong language. But yeah, best advertisement for a book is writing another one.

Spite is a good motivator, honestly. I wrote my first book out of spite and people liked it.

I did just that with I Ate the world as the prequel and The Rise of Hydra God as the sequel using the main from I Ate the world as the main villain.
