How would you go about posting your story on Amazon.

I've started it... It can be VERY stressful if you get unlucky, as Amazon banned me for being a pirate as my own stuff was pirated beforehand...

I did get it resolved but it caused no end of problems, borked my launch lol.

In terms of the actual process it wasnt... Too... Bad and I did recieve good advice from the folks in discord. Good cover/blurb a must apparently to stand out

Ask authors that've self-published on AU and stuff. They're usually chronically online in discord.

First, you'd have to worry about the Book Launch, which, in itself, most amateur writers cannot pull off. Then there's Book Promotion, Building Editorial Reviews, Advertisements, and Pre- and Post-Launch tasks.

All of this requires time and capital. On top of that, you need to have a lucrative idea that's incentivizing to your potential readership.

If this is your first book (which it seems like it is), you can start smaller by trying to create buzz on WebNovel sites. Most profitable web novelists use Patreon subscriptions as a gauge of how their books will sell on the market. If readers buy advanced chapters, people are likely to try your book on KDP if it reaches shelves.

But this is all put on hold until you have an acceptable book to market. Emphasis on acceptable, as not every book is worth the trouble of launching on Amazon. And even then, I'd suggest that authors have at least 2-3 books under their belt (at least 60k words each) before they're ready to join the middle league.

By not doing it, unless you go for Kindle Unlimited (which is exclusive contracts) you will not earn a dime. Its the same shit as Webnovel at the end but you have to spend like one or two months preparing, plus a bunch of money invested on ads and by spreading the word about your novel literally everywhere like an abnoxious fuck.
And you're still not guaranteed any readers at all even if you did well in other platforms. At the end of the day you have to pick a publisher like Aethon books, but they will probably ask you for a 50% cut of profits but will do all the bothersome things for you (their editing is terrible though, people is always complaining on amazon books published by Aethon that they have terrible grammar, proving that their editors dont do a good job).
Ultimately, like everything in life it's up to if you're lucky with it or not.

Great, that's fantastic. The first part, and the hardest, is coming up with a good idea. I'd recommend just posting the chapters here and seeing how well it's received. Then, when you have a full book's worth—about 75,000 words—you can self-publish on Amazon. It doesn't cost anything. I've published my book, and I'm making a couple of sales every day, which is impressive considering the fact that the whole book is free to read. Sooo, people buying on Amazon consist of some curious newbies and people who have been following you on your web serial. They usually buy the edited version with pictures and bonus content as a thank you for all your hard work. Good luck! Writing is hard, but it's fun.
