Me, personally?

I love it.

The second it touched my eyes I felt my pupils dilate. My head tingled as my brain fired off it's little calculations trying to take it all in.

I like the grit. It feels like a threshold is being crossed. Like a decision was made and it's too late to go back. I even get a hint of something else... like the idea of giving oneself over to something terrible. Something wonderful.

I like the size and perspective. The eye is human enough to recognize but alien enough to trigger that fear of the unknown.

If your intent was to intrigue someone on first impression alone, I'd call it a success.

Since you were asking for cover art opinion, I purposefully did not read any of the comments before replying so as to avoid any spoilers or information on the story. So this is strictly a first impression, walking in blind.
