that really depends. You mean on the primary site or here on the forum?

Forum: Click the "attach files" below the text box.
Forum sig: Right click on your cover art on the novel's main page, click "view image" or "open image". Use that link in the "insert image" button above the signature's text editor.

Main site: You can't. If you want in-chapter images, you'd need to upload to a hosting site. I and many others use Pinterest, though I've heard there are other sites that work too, but you'd have to speak to someone else that knows more for a list.

Use computer.
Click and drag the image into the text.

Or use a image-host, and use the link function (among the symbols thingies of text editor)
imgbb is free
but the duration is medium long. (2-3months?)

imgur is better and easier than pinterest, you can set the image to private too, so it doesnt get used for AI image learning, if you're using an original artwork and not just AI

Imgur is not that safe as a server to upload though. In a few months it will be gone. Learned that the hard way.

Using BBcodes can also be a good idea. You can use sites like Imgbb.com to upload your image. Then you can click the "[ ]" button on the top right corner of the text box in the forums and I believe in the main site story text box as well.

And do it carefully. Can't have you uploading the wrong image.

It works on forums only.

For example, you could simply ctrl+c and ctrl+v a picture, for example, from the snipping tool, and insert it into the message. Such image would be added to the post, and could be hotlinked from there.

Image posts on the profile always require a link to the picture hosted elsewhere. (Imgur, imgbb, and others)

Image posts inside the stories also need to be hotlinked.

But the pictures from the post on the forum are attached to the message and thus hosted on the Scribble Hub.
