Thankfully some people just posted some good reviews. Ofcourse I don't want all positive reviews.
I only panicked because it was the first single review.
So all is well until it's not the only one out there.
And as I said I am new here so I just panicked.
All is well now and all you good people can move on from this post.
Sorry for the trouble.
Also, I just noticed something
The reviews:

The reception:

The duality of man.
So? What duality?
When I posted a coherent argument. You call it a dualit and when someone else post it on my novels homepage you say it's fine.
And I did not post any hate comment on his wall did I?

Can anyone help me in removing a bad review from a hating person.
I am a new author so I don't know how it works. My novel is gaining good popularity but maybe someone did not like that.

So that person gave a 1 star bad review while putting a corrupt and deteriorated version of my story in spoiler tag.

And it was the first review. So can I do anything about this?
Step 1: Block the person making the review.
Step 2: Delete the story and repost it.
Step 3: Profit.

Do note that you can't grow as an author if you do this everytime someone give you a star bad review.

This might come off as a little harsh, but to the author who deleted a novel with 26k views and about 100 active readers (on the only novel you've published so far), all because one singular review was difficult to stomach... You've hurt your fans, and you've hurt your own chances of people reading future stories.

What a waste. (Unless you're planning on re-writing the whole thing... I guess).

We call that a "coward".

Why would you want it removed?

Nobody takes 1 star reviews seriously unless there are a ton. Just like nobody takes a 5 star seriously unless there are a ton. Having a one star means your story is real. When I see a perfect score, I usually reconsider reading it. I don't trust it. I assume someone is using sock accounts.

You have a glossary. Put your rebuttle there.

I agree. That's why I personally don't mind my story not being a 5/5. Not every story is perfect and not everyone will enjoy your story. So you write for those who do and who want to read more. Those that hate or dislike can leave their 2 cents that'll slip into the seat cushions.

Wow he really did delete it, I'm kind of surprised I mean his other readers were posting positive reviews and everything.
Hate me, love me, you will not ignore me.

I will make you weep. I will make you sing. I will bring you joy. I will bring you pain. My stories are all written with the intent of lifting you up while kicking you in the teeth.

I only consider a story a failure when someone reads it and goes, "meh".

If I fail to invoke emotions in you, I fail as an author. If I invoke the wrong emotions, then I'm on the right track, I just need to try harder.

When your audience doesn't care... well...

Just look to Disney and all its IPs for a cautionary tale.

Apathy is the enemy. I revel in any review that is full of passion. One cannot love you or hate you without caring. Never fear the review where they care. Even if it rips you apart.

Fear the day no one reviews you at all.

Wear every review as a badge of honor.
I actually don't remember reading a Manga called Crest. What is it about?
No, the MC is called crest. It's called some long name.

I wish that sorta reviewer was more common in that they gave examples and elaborated on what dissatisfied them in the story, even if it's subjective taste- there's a good possibility that they'd steer others who wouldn't appreciate your story ahead of time as to avoid reader resentment. I also got a one star a while back but wasn't fortunate enough to figure out why via review

I try to do that.

One story was tagged romance. It was 117 chapters of pain. One chapter making up. One chapter romance. One chapter epilogue.

That is not a romance. That is a tragedy.

I made clear in my review. I don't like being lied to. If you are gonna jerk the reader around for 117 chapters, you need 117 chapters of romance. That's the deal. You need to use your tags responsibly. That would have been my last 1 star review.

One stars are weird to me. I understand most reviews are subjective, but in that case you must really hate the novel. And in the case of objectivity, I would say most novels aren't deserving of only one star. Unless the grammar is really bad or the story is really boring.
