Anyway, my advise as a WRITER, is to keep every review unless it's against the rules, and take whatever you can from each review to improve. Grow thick skin and ignore whatever isn't helpful. I don't really like to do it, but I will use myself as example. Look at my main story, I mean look at ratings and reviews there, and try to guess which review is my favorite and what do I think about my ratings.

I think it depend period. There some who state at the beginning that they will fulffil the feedbac when they have time. It may took time for them to reach the end of the feedback thread.

found the novel and.... just reading the summary feels like i'm reading a summary for one of those worst of the worst JP braindead plot-armored potato-kun novels. that review definitely seems more useful than the 5* review that's there.

OP, if you're after only blind worship and praise then posting your novel online is not a good choice.

And to add to LusG's advice, if you can, try to plan out your story. The reason behind this is so that you know where you'd want to take the direction of the novel you're writing. That way, you can 'filter' the negative feedbacks you receive, and turn some of those into useful ones you can use to improve/develop yourself.

I am not writing for making money. And just wanted to write as a person who enjoy writing while readers also enjoy it.
But maybe money minded people have crab mentality.
This just showed me that it was a mistake to come here.

But don't worry I will not do the same for them because that will make me a hypocrite.
And moreover this is not my profession so I donot want to deteriorate someone's work and cause him losses.

2 points on this matter.

1st - Just because it's a "hobby" or "I'm just doing it so other people can enjoy it", doesn't mean you can suddenly just not get negative feedback. As a different point on the matter, the reviews are *generally* not for the author, but for other readers. From that point of view, the review is valid. It's there to warn other readers who might share a similar mentality about how a story should go, and ward them off from reading your novel. Do you want more people who wouldn't enjoy it to read it?

2nd - You're welcome to consider it a mistake to come here, but most websites for sharing stories are going to have some degree or another of reviews and ratings. If you're looking for only positive feedback, good luck.
