Because I am an impulsive and derpie deity, I have about 3 novels going simultaneously and want more. I'm not derpie enough to have updates everyday, mainly bc I procrastinate to much, but it kinda hurts me when I can't update on time.

I have the same issue. I'm forcing myself to only work on two at a time

I am not here with the answer, but I will wait here for the answer. I suffer from the same problem, I have several stories, but only one beloved child is getting my focus. I want to fix that.

The thing is, you can't really change that. Unless you are going to get rid of some of the stories then there really isn't an answer. You could always save the stories in google docs or something else then post them again one at a time. Not posting a new one until the previous one is finished. I sometimes do that. If you can't reach your 'deadline' then you could change it. Like maybe you start with 5 times a week. Narrow it down to 2 or 3. Believe it or not a lot of people deal with this problem, me being one of them, and you just gotta narrow it down. If you don't want to remove a story then don't post on that story and focus on the most popular (Or the one you're the most into writing). You could slowly work your way down to the least popular (your least favorite). Finishing each one. You really should do that so that you don't get into the habit of doing multiple stories at once. I currently have a couple of books posted. Two of them are finished, one of them a friend of mine is translating them then sending it to me to check for grammar then posting it (So technically I'm not writing it) and the last one I'm actually working on. It's actually the second book to one of the other books that I finished. See I used to have so many that I was working on at a time but then I used google docs (Thank God for it) to save my stories then repost them. What I'm trying to say is use google docs or just work on them one at a time. It's really not a good thing to get into the habit of doing multiple stories. I hope this helps anyone who is dealing with this problem. :blob_okay::blob_melt::blob_party:

I just save them in a folder? Each chapter is a word document, if you dont write like this idk what you're doing with your life. maintain each book in a different folder and that's kind of it. Maybe write a special chapter where you put all characters that have appeared, gods, locations, and other info, which I always do for each of my series, and I have over 10 ongoing novels (although five of them are already completed, i am just publishing the remaining chapters for now)

Complicated. I can see the major inner workings of your mind from here. Lol
Thank you all though

I'm writing 3 now. I update one daily, the other 5 days a week and the last one twice a week. It's really about managing your time and focusing on your writing. I'd suggest putting your stories on a priority list. I assume they each have varying levels of popularity or maybe you're more invested in one than the others.

So story A gets top priority (the most updates per week)
Story B gets second priority (less frequent updates)
Story C goes to the bottom (least frequent updates, maybe even missed updates)

That way you can focus on making progress without spreading yourself too thin. Even if Story C gets neglected a bit, it's for the sake of your other work. If that's still hard for you, I'd recommend putting one or multiple on hiatus and work on them whenever you feel like it or if you need a break from the one you're focusing on. That way you can have a bit of a backlog to work with.

Set up a schedule and try to follow it.

3-4 chapters per week for you main story, which leaves you with other half of the week with time for procrastination or sidestories.

My heart skipped a beat when I read "3-4 per week"

Then go even lower. There are people who post once/twice per week, and nutcracks like me who pull of 2000+ words daily with edits (not recommended for prolonged amount of time, unless you want personal phone number to writer block and burnout)

I'm juggling dozens if not hundreds of drafts ?

Closest thing I have to handling them is not publishing too quickly. If I'm not confident I can at least get a satisfying amount of work up before flaking out of existence, I'll leave it in my drafts folder until I can.

As for scheduling... I used to post my chapters whenever they were done. Nowadays, I try to have an entire arc written, then post the chapters of that arc on a schedule - once a week or once a month, depending how long individual chapters are.

Have you tried abusing the glossary tab? It makes a good place to put lore fragments to jog your memory. Also try keeping an unpublished chapter just for you. It would also help if you made a dedicated universe to serve as a unified operating system/ History.
