I would love to make a story but I can’t think up a decent plot for the life of me. I like stories such as Solarium, Lost Souls: Road to Godhood, and Faraway Survivor, but never seem to come close to a plot that’s decent or fits the genres I like.

Ai-chan can't create a plot for you when Ai-chan doesn't even know what you want to write. However, for other things such as deciding on the setting, the characters and the names, Ai-chan programmed an HTML program for that that you can open on the browser.

If you're interested, tell Ai-chan what you need and Ai-chan will upload it for you. Or if you have some demands, inform Ai-chan and if it can be added into the program, Ai-chan will add it for you. If you don't ask for it, Ai-chan will assume that you're not interested.

I won't disagree but the way they were asking sounded more like they wanted a premise rather than a fully structured plot. Sorry for using the word so loosely.
I'd say you're probably correct on this one. I just felt some accuracy in terminology would serve everyone's ability moving forward the best.

I was hoping this thread would be about creating a plot as a plot element, not about The Plot.
I really hoped this would be about plotting revenge and plotting to plot a plot of land while the plot thickens.

A story normally needs at least three things: A place for something to happen, something happening, and characters that something happens to.

A good idea is to just write down what you want in your story, and most of the stuff comes from alone the more you focus on a few core elements.

For the setting maybe ask yourself something you think would be cool like "Hey, wouldn't mutating zombie angels in an urban fantasy setting be cool?" (No, they wouldn't be, you'd just turn your unkillable murdering bipedal animals into unkillable murdering bipedal birds.)

For characters and your story outline a good way to start is looking at what you especially like about the stuff you like and trying to emulate something close enough while still being yours instead of just copying.

There is a simple thing you can do. You sit and start to write what comes to your mind. Imagine the characters doing things. Then, how they react to their actions. Then, the results, both in the short term and the long term, of their actions. And, by the end of the first chapter, you will have your book plot. It could change after an arc, true, but keep enough of the former elements inside the book so that readers won't be confused.
(Yes, I suffer from multiple plot lines' syndrome. But, you know, I can read what I have written at the end of the day. More importantly, I can enjoy it. So, my method works.)

I actually posted a tutorial on this, if you're interested:
