Which ending should i make?
Let me explain.

Good ending 1:

The ending where everyone dies and only mc survives.

Good ending 2:

The ending where mc goes insane and kills everyone or kills himself

Bad ending 1:

Where mc gets himself traps in infinite death loop and there's no way out.

Bad ending 2:

The mc dies and bring a new mc in the next volume

No ending:

where the volumes ends there and not continues. The content i have is about 50 volumes long.

Bittersweet ending:

The one where mc gets transported to another world and he gets mentally traumatized .

Let me know if you have any endings beside these :)

I just wana know others opinion .

The ending i voting is No ending .

the novel i am writing:Beyond Infinity

Edit:I have decided on the mixture of bad ending 1 and bittersweet.

And remember this is not even the worst endings i have planed.

I rolled a D6 and got a 1, so Good Ending 1
It should really be a 1d4 because these:

Good ending 2:

The ending where mc goes insane and kills everyone or kills himself

Bad ending 1:

Where mc gets himself traps in infinite death loop and there's no way out.

Bad ending 2:

The mc dies and bring a new mc in the next volume

are all just the same flavor with different wordings. (i.e. The MC will not be able to continue into the next volume).

Taking this further, even the "bittersweet" ending is on that spectrum of "he can't go on". That means the choices end up being: 1. the MC lives; 2. the MC has some sort of death (physical, mental or emotional, doesn't matter) and; 3. no ending at all (which really means you don't finish it because it would still come back to the first 2).

So, flip a coin. Heads and your MC lives to fight another day. Tails and you need a new one to carry on the next 49 volumes.

You ever get the feeling the author hates the main character
I mean,the mc is my ideal.so........

No the mc time loops or regressions so good ending 2 is fine and the bittersweet ending is also fine since the pov will the third person or some other side character while the mc recovers.

Sorry to break this to you, but you've just proven my point that there's really no difference between good 2 and bad 1. A loop is a loop. It would be extremely difficult to break that, but like you said "there's no way out" if he's stuck in one. Then for the "bittersweet" ending, how is trauma of any kind a good thing? Bittersweet would be more like the guy saves the girl and she still chooses someone else. Bittersweet would be the MC loves the BBEG, but the only way to stop their evil plan is to kill them for the greater good. Is that trauma, yes. Is there a difference? Yes because these are things to grow from. You haven't explained anything about yours, which instantly turns it into another bad ending.

So again, whether you get mental trauma or go insane, you lose a fundamental part of yourself where others could point to and say "they died on this day". Stuck in a never-ending death loop like Bill Murray in the movie Groundhog Day? You guessed it, you're dead (just on repeat). Dying for real? Still dead, so all 4 of these are the exact same. You can argue that there is healing, sure, but are you the same person you were before? How can you heal from going insane to the point of killing anyone who walks into your field of view? Or from killing yourself out of madness?

You've also admitted that your MC is just a self insert, so what the hell are you asking us for? We can and will point out the flaws with what we see, but if you're writing your perfect self then the only answer that can be given is yours. The rest of our opinions mean less than 0.

That's exactly why your opinion matters. If this is your ideal self, then what's your ideal ending?

You're asking for advice without giving details. You say that I/we don't need to read your novel, but then refuse to give us what we need to answer your question without having to read your novel. It doesn't make any sense, in that case, to ask for our advice and input.

The way you've set up this poll/thread, and with what you've just said about me not understanding if I didn't read the novel, says that it would be better directed at your readers as part of an author's note asking them to give their answer in the comments.

I'm not expecting a reply, and if you do reply to this (positively or negatively), then great. We can keep this discussion going, and I'll be more than happy to post my point of view. What I'm saying ultimately comes down to this: if you want meaningful responses and answers, give us meaningful information to go by.

Here is the final chapter :Chapter 10
Of volume 1.

Dude, i am sleep deprived all day.
So no need to vary my opinion.
In the end, no one is right or wrong. Its justified on its ow perspective.
And i went with a mixture of bad ending 1 and bittersweet ending.

Forgot to add the mc is quite insane from the start and apathetic, sarcastic, —has random mood swings and has suicidal tendencies.
(Which is me btw.)
