Like how many commas can I use in a sentence before it's too much?
Wow that's really helpful, reading it aloud really makes a difference thank you :OThe optimal number is from zero up to two or three, but there isn't really something like too much commas. It's not just about commas, but how complicated the sentence is in general.
When I'm writing, I just read what my brain produces and divide or join the sentences if I feel like they don't flow well. If you don't have much experience yet, you can read aloud the sentences that have many commas and listen to how they sound. You will hear if the sentence is too stretched out.
