I don't know how many story ideas and power ideas one normally created. I created more than 100 hundred story ideas and more than 150 different powers, most are hard magic. Is it normal to have this many? Are all others have this much or more story ideas and power ideas?
Well, if you're talking lifetime... I got into fantasy role-playing games in the early 80s and have been building some systems, worlds, and stories ever since. Have no idea even IF I could count them (and that is ignoring the ones in "official" IPs, like Doctor Who or Star Wars, which would add even more into the equation). But I suspect the number of power ideas is far more than a hundred. Story ideas ... not quite that many but a lot.
Several of the latter have been merged into some of the stuff I've posted - Jack Diamond (
Diamond in the Rough and
Blood Diamond) and Sparrow (
Strange Awakening) both keep intersecting the story from a module I wrote for the Champions RPG back in '89 called
Demons Rule.
Between Worlds (no longer here - on Pocket FM as "Between Earth and Pyrroth) has characters who are facing bits and pieces of several campaigns I started for AD&D and HackMaster over the years.
Indigo (
True Blue) was a character created for the backstory of a shared world project in a Champions RPG Amateur Press Alliance 'Zine,
The Clobberin' Times, back in the 90s.
