I started using Scribblehub when I... actually I don't know why I started using Scribblehub. one day I never used it, the next I used it with no account, then I made an account to track novels I'm reading, and then here I am, with 475 in my reading list causing extreme strain to load them all

I don't find myself browsing scribblehub's books regularly, so I'll classify myself as author only.

I usually lurk because I am annoyed at the level of deception and self-promotion that most desperate authors display here. It's really sad and pathetic. It's like 100 poor beggars surrounding a couple of blue-class workers begging for scraps.

Better then the overly egotistic ones on other sites

True. My comment was a bit harsh. It's also not helpful. Anyway 100% reader here. I don't write shit but I have read thousands of books.

You know, I wonder now if the only reason very few readers are in the forums is because some are too lazy to enter the log-in credentials for the forums section, assuming there is no mobile app which ties the two together. Not saying anything bad about the setup, but some people can't even be bothered to log in or create an account, and with SH, you have to do that twice to use the main site with the forums.

This site has a WONDERFUL search tool. I can easily find any story I might be interested in, and I don't need to check the forums. So you mostly have authors here who want to promote their work, want feedback, or are just bored.

Probably. Everyone is different, so I won't assume anything

Hallo hallo. 'Tis me again.
Nice to meet you for the first time

So, I am just curious how many people are actually readers on the reader general? I just want to know for... research porpoises.
...And I also just want to post and say hallo.
And why do you go to the forums in the first place?
Because stories I'm reading aren't publishing fast enough, or I want to know more about what's happening in this scene, or even learn a little about an author I like.

Me... I am actually here to find any threads that would be helpful in trying to find out how to promote my book or help it become more popular.
And the main thing is I kinda got addicted to making polls.
I am not gifted at self-promotion.

I replied that I'm a reader here, but I'm an author elsewhere. Eventually, I'll post something original here.
