How is Discord used?

I tried to use discord but i don't understand a thing!

I have it installed since 2020
Its has many functions i tried to use them but,
No friends to talk to.

It's like IRC if you know what that is, but with a gui on top and discord owns everything.

Yeah you will need to join some servers. If you do a google search you should be able to find a server for for whatever type you are looking for (for example you could find a ton of novel writers' servers etc)

Oh, I know the feeling. One time Google Meet and Zoom somehow wasn't working for my teacher, so I suggested Discord.

Everyone had it, but it was awkward. Very awkward, to say the least.
