Anyone recalls the scene of the dude drink and eat stuff and a witness can see the mixture going through the mouth, esophagus and then slowly disappearing into the stomach due to unknown reasons? Assuming it makes sense that he managed to do so, why can't I see his shit and piss floating in midair? Are they a part of his body? The whole digested food slowly disappearing into the stomach was rather questionable as well.

Bending light around an object is probably the best you are going to get. Or wise it is going to be something that changes the pigments in its skin on the spot to where it is going, or the whole projecting and recording the images around you the 2020 invisible man did, but those are more an 'active camouflage' rather than invisibility

So what you are saying is that the serum will deal with whatever fluid that is present inside of Griffin (the doc's name i supposed) and the reason why the food and drink he ingested is still visible because it is not yet affected by the serum.

Which then begs the second question, is his pee and shit still invisible once they are excreted from him? Is there a scene showing his blood when cut?

He has been shot many times, and the blood remains invisible until he was dead. Things only became visible after he died, so yes, his poop and piss should be visible,

True invisible is just camouflage. Otherwise neither the person using invisibility nor the people it's being use on would be able to see. Necause sight is just light reflecting on surfaces and your eyes capturing that light. So if you were invisible, you would be blind as no light could enter your eyes. Sure, no one would see you. Whatever was injected into him is secreted along with regular stomach acid I would guess. I mean there was no mention of a stubble being visible. If the serum didn't self replicate then little things would have build up to show a lot of floating dust to show dead skin cells.
