You basically do stream of consciousness writing in the general direction of your story, then clean it up until it becomes something good. You'll spend a lot more time editing, but you'll get your ideas out, and that's the most important thing. If you keep yourself locked up with your doubt, you'll get nothing done at all. I used to have that problem; I hate putting unrefined words on a page, but trying getting everything perfect the first time is toxic to yourself. Not only will you fail, but you'll fail slowly.
