how do you think different characters would react to rule 34?

You can deny it all you want, but that's still impressive, if not in perverted side of things, then in the detail that you put into your novel. You don't need to be a pervert to write that level of detail, but I wouldn't be surpried if you are :)

And I am only, at most, the average level of pervertedness of humanity, which… is still a lot. But! I am not anywhere near the top! I’m a good portion less perverted than your average Joe.

given that I write smut, my MC has already had a scene reacting to rule 34 (his best friend, the side character, is an in-universe smut novelist, and MC is his editor/proofreader).

Basically, MC is just burned out on the prospect of porn. so he'd be like "yeah, cool. I'm porn. whatever."

They were created especially for rule 34. Well, at least my German Characters were. I wasn't such a degenerate, for the most part, while I still wrote in English.
